Selagama Mini World's End (Hulangala)

There are many places in Sri Lanka called 'Lokanthaya' which have beautiful mountain peaks and Navgala or Hulangala mountain peak is a tourist destination with such a doomsday. The ancients also referred to this hill as "Navgala" with two peaks that look like a sailboat from a distance.
Hulangala is located in the southern part of the Knuckles Range in the Salagama Estate in the Kurunegala District. Although the top of the Hulangala hill is located on the border of the Kurunegala district, the lower part of the slope belongs to the Matale district. Therefore, it is possible to reach this beautiful place from Kurunegala or Matale.
Hulangala Punchi Lokantha is located at an altitude of 760m (2500 ft) above sea level and Hulangala Kanda on the right is 1025m (3360 ft) above sea level.
If coming by vehicle, you can reach Hulangala by traveling from Kurunegala to Dambulla towards Thalgodapitiya Junction and following Yatawatta Road. Hulangala is about 40km away from Kurunegala and mountaineers can also cross Hulangala from Maduragoda in Kurunegala. But if you are traveling at night, it is not advisable to use that route..
